PMO Analyst (Mid-Level)

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 (compensation is commensurate with experience)

Position Overview: The PMO Analyst supports the establishment, implementation, and sustainment of the client’s Project Management Office by providing portfolio-level tracking, reporting, analysis, and operational support. This role focuses on improving visibility, consistency, and data quality across projects and initiatives while enabling leadership decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the PMO Project Manager in the design, development, and stand-up of the PMO office and operating model
Assist in defining and documenting PMO processes, workflows, roles, and governance structures
Support development of PMO standards, templates, playbooks, and guidance materials
Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to support PMO intake, prioritization, and onboarding processes
Support portfolio-level tracking of project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies during PMO implementation
Develop, maintain, and refine PMO dashboards, metrics, and recurring reports to support leadership visibility
Collect, validate, and analyze project and portfolio data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with PMO standards
Support implementation and configuration of PMO tools, trackers, and reporting mechanisms
Assist in preparation of executive-ready briefings, status reports, and decision-support materials
Support transition, knowledge transfer, and documentation activities to enable PMO sustainment by client staff
Provide analytical, coordination, and operational support to the PMO Project Manager as needed during PMO establishment and transition
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
3–5+ years of experience supporting PMO, project management, or portfolio reporting functions
Experience working with project schedules, risk logs, and performance metrics
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting federal programs or large, complex organizations
Familiarity with PMO tools and reporting platforms (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, dashboarding tools)
