IT Investment Analyst (CPIC Knowledge)

Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 (compensation is commensurate with experience)

Position Overview: The IT Investment Analyst supports CPIC governance execution by maintaining investment data, supporting CPIC artifacts, and improving traceability between cost, schedule, performance, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CPIC Lead in execution of end-to-end CPIC lifecycle activities, including Select, Control, and Evaluate phases
- Assist the CPIC Lead with investment planning, coordination, and governance support across the portfolio
- Support development, maintenance, and quality assurance of CPIC artifacts, including investment inventories, milestone plans, risk registers, and performance data
- Support budget formulation and submission activities, including collection, validation, and reconciliation of investment cost data and supporting documentation
- Assist in preparation of CPIC materials supporting budget submissions, governance reviews, and leadership decision points
- Coordinate with investment owners and stakeholders to collect, validate, and maintain accurate CPIC inputs and supporting evidence
- Support monthly and quarterly CPIC control activities, including schedule, cost, and performance tracking
- Track investment changes and ensure traceability between budgets, milestones, risks, and reported outcomes
- Support development and implementation of standardized CPIC processes, templates, and guidance
- Identify opportunities for CPIC process improvement and assist in implementing enhancements to improve consistency, efficiency, and data quality
- Support development of investment summaries, dashboards, and decision-support materials in coordination with reporting and data analysis resources
- Assist with CPIC documentation, transition, and knowledge transfer activities to support long-term sustainment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5–7+ years of experience supporting IT investments or CPIC-related activities
- Familiarity with federal IT governance and portfolio management processes
